Connect for SAP®

Connect for SAP® Netweaver is an object-oriented software library. It is specially designed for access to SAP application servers using Embarcadero® Delphi and building partner server programs running in non-SAP systems. Connect for SAP® does focus on:
  • Integrating existing Delphi applications with SAP systems
  • Developing new systems and applications accessing SAP application servers
  • Extending SAP system functionality by building external non-SAP servers

Facts for the new Version 4.x

  • The new SAP NetWeaver API is heavily different to the older RFC SDK but the goal was to keep a high compatibility between V3.x and V4.x for the component line
  • A limited automatic migration of the applications is supported (as far as possible).
  • V 4.x is based on the standards of SAP NetWeaver and therefore Unicode only
  • Win32 and win64 are supported
  • The software is internally fully redesigned to use new modern concepts (e.g generics)
  • The future support of the Embarcadero Tool Chain will be limited to versions under the Embarcadero Maintenance plan. Means XE6 upwards is supported for V4.0.15 (but no older version)
  • After the first shipping of "Connect for SAP NetWearver the "Connect for SAP Classic" is frozen
  • Customers buying "Connect for SAP Netweaver" will get as well access to the last version of "Connect for SAP Classic"

Connect for SAP Classic 3.0.29 (depreciated)

Be aware that future enhancements and maintenance releases will be limited to the "Netweaver Edition" as the offical SAP support of the classic RFC SDK did end on the 31.3.2016.
